A man can row along the flow at 15 kmph and the speed of the flow is 2.5 kmph. How long would it take him to row 75 km in still water?

Answer 1:

Downstream flow = 15kmph

Speed of the stream = 2.5 kmph

Therefore, Speed of the boat+ speed of water = 15 kmph

Here, Speed of boat = 15-2.5 = 12.5 kmph

Therefore, time taken  to row 75 km in still water = 75/12.5 = 6 hrs.
